Blue Ledger Privacy Policy

```html
Effective Date: September 6, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Blue Ledger: Surgical Case Log (“Blue Ledger” or “the App”), developed by Pocket Retina LLC, collects, uses, stores, and protects information.
Blue Ledger is a surgical case logging and professional collaboration app for physicians and trainees.
Information We Collect
We may collect information you provide directly, including:
  • First and last name
  • Email address
  • Authentication information used to create and access your account
  • Specialty, training level, degree, and an optional profile photo
We may also collect and store professional content you choose to enter or share through the App, including surgical case logs, case titles and notes, procedure selections, operative role, hospital or site name, and surgical-team selections.
This information is used to provide Blue Ledger’s core account, case-logging, organization, portfolio, and collaboration features.
How We Use Information
We use information to:
  • Create and manage accounts
  • Allow users to log, organize, review, and share selected surgical cases
  • Operate portfolio and colleague-related features
  • Send activity notifications and case reminders when enabled
  • Improve app functionality, reliability, and performance
  • Provide customer support and respond to feedback
Pocket Retina LLC does not sell or rent personal information.
Analytics and Device Information
Blue Ledger uses Firebase Analytics to understand aggregate app use and improve reliability. We may record limited product events, such as app opens, screen views, sign-up and login completion, generic onboarding steps, case-entry starts and saves, limited technical sync-failure categories, and feedback or rating actions.
We may also receive limited technical information, such as device type, operating system, app version, device or notification identifiers, and an opaque account identifier after sign-in. We do not send names, email addresses, professional-profile fields, case titles, notes, hospital names, procedure names, media, or other case content to analytics.
Blue Ledger does not use Meta App Events, advertising identifiers, or App Tracking Transparency permission. We do not use analytics data for third-party advertising or cross-app or cross-website tracking.
Data Storage and Sharing
Information may be stored locally on your device and/or on secure backend infrastructure to support synchronization and access across sessions.
Account information, case logs, profile photos, notification data, and related supported App content may be stored using secure cloud services that operate Blue Ledger. Media attached to private case logs remains stored locally on your device. If you choose to publish a case to your Blue Ledger portfolio, media you include in that shared portfolio case may be uploaded to secure backend infrastructure so it can be displayed through that sharing feature.
We use third-party service providers, including Firebase and related Google Cloud infrastructure, for authentication, database storage, file storage, analytics, and notifications. These providers process only the information needed to provide their services to Blue Ledger.
Medical and Professional Content
Blue Ledger is intended for professional case tracking and education. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment recommendations, or clinical decision support.
Blue Ledger does not require or request patient names, medical record numbers, dates of birth, or other patient-identifiable information. Users are responsible for ensuring that case titles, notes, media, and other content are appropriately de-identified and comply with applicable privacy obligations.
Notifications
Blue Ledger may send push notifications related to App activity and local reminder notifications related to upcoming cases. Users can manage notification preferences in the App and through device settings.
Account Deletion
Users may request or initiate account deletion within the App. When an account is deleted, associated profile information, case logs, and stored profile images are removed from our systems within a reasonable time, subject to technical limitations and legal obligations.
Children’s Privacy
Blue Ledger is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
